Description
The Steampunk Society of Nebraska will host a Steampunk Ball. Costumes are greatly encouraged but not required. Costumers and crafters are encouraged to show their wares in the fashion show that opens the event (sign up at the SSoN costuming booth).
The fashion show will finish with a parade that ends back at the Ball when the music will begin. The Ball itself is a mixer that offers dancing to steamy tunes that evoke airs of tribal, nautical, burlesque, and vaudevillian venues. Polite discourse with like-minded Steampunks will also abound.
There will be no admission charge for people holding a Nuke-Con 2011 badge. Admission for others will be $6 payable at the Registration desk.
